hMailserver Administrator fails remote connection to server
When I try to connect the hMail administrator to the hMailserver on Win server 2008 R2 from a Win 7 Client I get an error code :
Retrieving the COM class factory for remote component CLSID (xxxxx..xxxx) from machine 192.168.1.8 failed due to the following error800706ba.
Please advice!

Hi,
None of your suggestions is applicable. It turned out be a Firewall rule on the Server 2008 R2 allowing the hMailserver to communicate through the network that was missing.

You may go to the Win2008 machine....
Seach the registry for the CLSID above to identify the name of the component.
Goto Start - administrative tools - component services...
Expand until DCOM and see, if your service is there....
Right click, properties - security...
Look in the start and activation as well in the access permissions, if remote is allowed for the account, you try to use from the client.
If UAC on the client is activated, you may try to start the administravice program with administrative rights.
