MSNBC

Why do liberals not go after MSNBC for the exact same reasons they go after Fox News?

The truth, however, is what beetos told you (Fox's blending its news with (manufactured) opinion).

Everything liberals complain about with Fox News is true with MSNBC.  Of course, conservatives don't care.  They don't try to silence the opposition, as libs do.

No, it isn't.  Not only does Fox manufacture their own controversies which are clearly meaningless to the most casual observer, they then go on the offensive about other stations being biased because they don't report on their bullshit stories.    Like "you didn't build that" or Tucker Carlson's latest "Shocking Obama video" he "uncovered" which was in reality, widely reported on at the time and not nearly as shocking as he'd have you believe.

They make their news from out of context quotes, inflammatory headlines posed as questions, and their own contributors posing as unbiased experts.

Don't believe me?  Here's a quote from the horses mouth:

"This Obama video was never reported by the press at the time.  I  know because I reported on it".  - Tucker Carlson

Oh and calling someone out for blatant bullshit is not silencing the opposition.   Silencing the opposition is yelling over them when they try to speak, especially when they outnumber the opposition.   See Hannity and O'Reilly for examples.
Eric,

For a response, I need to paraphrase beetos: "[MSNBC's] opinion shows don't spill over into their news broadcasts, thus creating manufactured controversies [and pants-on-fire issues that are created on Fox's "News" shows]"

Could find this until now, and it's important to know about these major news outlets.
Viewers have a right to know that commentators have a stake in what they present.

"Other than basic factual accuracy, there may be no principle of journalistic ethics more sacred than disclosure of conflicts of interest.  On op-ed pages it is understood that the writers have no commitment to neutrality. But it is also a given that a reader cannot evaluate the arguments if she is unaware of a personal stake writers have in the subject at hand."
