Thanks so much for considering my question. <br />
Powerbook Duo running Snow Leopard.<br />
Stuck on Firefox script, force restarted, now get only gray screen, Apple icon, spinning circle, will not progress. <br />
Zapping Pram did not help. <br />
Cannot find boot CDs for CS, used Leopard installer #1, was ejected,optical drive might be damaged? <br />
Booting in Verbose mode, says Bootstrapper has crashed: trace/BPT 5<br />
<br />
Tried to put Ubuntu on an 8g thumb drive, can't get other computer to recognize, if I could get a disk image on the thumb drive I could try that.<br />
<br />
No periphrials<br />
Safe Boot does not work<br />
Can boot in Single User Mode but is unresponsive at prompt. I can type but no reply.<br />
Can boot in Firewire mode, need adaptor (400/800) to try this with Mac Mini<br />
<br />
Need to back up data, especially my email drafts folder so I want to be as conservative as possible. <br />

Powerbook Duo system bootstrapper crash startup error

Software is any set of instructions that directs a computer to perform specific tasks or operations. Computer software consists of programs, libraries and related non-executable data (such as documentation). Software

All of Apple's hardware is produced solely by Apple Inc., who determines internal systems, designs, and prices. Apple buys certain components wholesale from third-party manufacturers. The current Mac product family uses Intel x86-64 processors. All Mac models ship with at least 1 GB RAM as standard. Current Mac computers use ATI Radeon or nVidia GeForce graphics cards and include a dual-function DVD and CD burner, called the SuperDrive. Current Apple hardware includes the iPad, iPhone, iMac, Mac Pro, Macbook, iPod and Apple TV. Discontinued hardware includes the Apple I, Apple II, and the Apple III, the Lisa, the Newton, the Quadra, Performa, Centris, Macintosh II and LC series, the Power Macintosh, iBooks and the MacBook.
