I have an Xbox 360 Slim and a NetGear N900 Dual-Band Wireless router (WNDR4500). I have setup both networks (2.4GHz and 5GHz). However, the Xbox only sees the 2.4Ghz network and connects just fine. However, I want to use the 5Ghz for the Xbox and the 2.4GHz for all other devices. <br />

I read somewhere that inorder for the xbox to pick up the 5Ghz band, I have to buy the Microsoft Wireless N Adapter for the Xbox. Is this true? Is it compatible with the Netgear N900?<br />

I don't want to waste my money if it turns out that the XBox 360 Slim does not even support wireless N @ 5Ghz.<br />

How to connect the Xbox 360 Slim to a dual-band 5ghz wireless network.

A video game console is a device that outputs a video signal or visual image to display a video game. The term "video game console" is used to distinguish a console machine primarily designed for consumers to use for playing video games in contrast to arcade machines or home computers. It includes home video game consoles, handheld game consoles, microconsoles and dedicated consoles.
