Hi.

I have a Cisco ASA5505

   1)  All configure and in production.

   2)  I am able to ssh into it as root from my Linux station.

   3)  I am able to enable, configure terminal, modify the configuration, and write mem

Question

I want to know how to scp files in and out of this ASA from and to my Linux station.

Please advise.

Down load solarwind TFTP server application. Install it on a server and use
copy run tftp command to copy your running config to your tftp server.

That application creates a folder under C:\tftp.

You can also copy files from flash of your cisco devices.

Hope that Helps

Not Directly SCP like you can use ftp and tftp . But the following link might help for your case.

Hope that Helps.

Well.  I have just scp from the Linux box INTO the ASA.

         1) have to enable scopy

cisciasa# ssh scopy enable

         2) scp from the Linux box into the ASA

# scp hello_date.txt admin@X.X.X.X:/hello_date.txt

The file is on ASA X.X.X.X output of dir command.

Half of my question is answered by me.

The other half is o how to scp OUT of the ASA into the Linux box?

Any help?  Please advise.
