DCdiag /test:dns errors
I am in the process of decommissioning a 2003 DC, migrating to a 2008 DC.  I am at the point now where I am running dcdiag on the 2008 server.  when I run dcdiag /test:dns I get the following results:

So I looked up the error, found that Missing AAAA record is IPv6.  I thought I went through and did all the steps listed at http://blogs.dirteam.com/blogs/paulbergson/archive/2009/03/19/disabling-ipv6-on-windows-2008.aspx
but I still get the error.  I did do ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns and then restarted the netlogon server after following the steps to disable IPv6.  When I attempt to run dcdiag /fix I get the following:

You need to remove any external DNS Servers listed in your TCP\IP settings like 4.2.2.2 you should only have internal DNS Servers listed in your TCP\IP Properties. The internal DNS Servers within your Domain are your Domain Controllers.

For external DNS Servers please configure DNS Forwarders

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc773370(v=ws.10).aspx

Once you have done the above run the below commands

ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
dcdiag /fix

4.2.2.2 is setup as a forwarder.  no external Dns in settings.

ok I rebooted and the errors about Ipv6 went away.  Do I need to be concerned about the Rreg and dyn tests?

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
