hp photo smart 7510 will not install

I did a reload on a desktop and can not get the printer to install.. I've tried wireless, wired and USB.  The computer recognizes it when the USB cable is plugged in, but the install software never does so I can not go on.  The installation via the network installation always tells me Network Installation Unsuccessful.

Any suggestions on what to try?  I've tried with both the CD and the download.

It is Windows 7 and I have also disabled the AV and Firewall.

Thanks

I removed the printer and uninstalled the software.  Rebooted and tried again.  This time it recognized the USB connection during the install, but failed saying Windows is missing some files that contained the name USB.  Going to try to repair Windows and then see.
Keep us posted. You made some progress with a total printer uninstall. ... Thinkpads_User

Well the SFC told me everything was okay, but something was not right because it could not even find drivers for a simple USB keyboard.  I ended up formatting and reloading.  It is all good now.  Thanks for the help.
how did sfc tell you all was ok?
it never reports problems, you have to look in its log file...

I can not remember the exact verbiage, but when it was finished it said everything was intact.  I ran it with SCANNOW.

In the past when I have ran that it always asked for a CD and I was wondering what I would have to do if it did because I didn't have one, just the reinstall partition was all I had to work with.
@DCS12 - Thank you and thanks for your feedback on the issue. ... Thinkpads_User
>>  it said everything was intact  <<  it does not tell anything; it just closes
unless this is still an XP System ?
if you want to try - run it on any pc you want to checkvista, and W7
