Sonicwall NSA 2400 IP Spoof Messages

I have a Sonicwall NSA 2400. The log files show "IP Spoof dropped" messages quite a bit coming from a server on the LAN that is on a different subnet from the Sonicwall.

Sonicwall: 172.20.X.X   (255.255.240.0)
Server:  172.16.X.X

I would like to accomplish either one of the following:

1. I want to add the server subnet (172.16) to the Sonicwall so the traffic is allowed and I will no longer get errors in the log every time.  (Preferred solution)

2. Turn off IP spoof detection on the LAN interface so that I no longer get error messages reported for this.
