Displaying row source from SQL table in Access project

Hi

I have created a SQL database and want to let users modify it by using an Access adp (project) file. I have done this but I'm having trouble displaying data from another table in a field.

I have a status table that has 2 columns, ID and description. The project opens a data table that has a column set to an int. I have tried to change the row source for that column to be that of the status table description column. However the combo box displays the description items fine but won't save as it is expecting an int.

Can someone help me so that the form displays the description (char) while the data table holds the corresponding ID?

Thanks.

Thanks. I changed the bound column and sizes and that has done the trick.
