Orphaned Exchange 2010 server

I have a new exchange 2010 install that I am getting ready to put into production. Before this install, I had a previous install of a virtual machine (HYPER-V R2) with exchange 2010 -pre-production that failed leaving it orphaned. I was able to use ADSI edit (Configuration -> Services -> Microsoft Exchange -> { Name of Your Organization } -> Administrative Group -> Exchange Administrative Group -> Servers -> { Your Server Name } ) to remove the orphaned exchange server.
Now, in exchange management console, organization configuration, I show a mailbox database with an ID that corresponds to the orphaned server that is unknown and can't be deleted. When I try and delete it I get a popup box that says -

'The mailbox database cannot be deleted'
The mailbox database object 'mailbox database 1452365548696' in active directory has been corrupted and is in an inconsistent state. Unable to find any server hosting a copy of this database.
