IIS Subdomains

I have successfully set up the ssl for https://www.my-sample-website.com
I also have to have 4 subdomains that will have their own physical directories.
I am setting up first one in the IIS7 - tech.my-sample-website.com
And when I click on the Start button to run the tech.my-sample-website.com site I get a popup:

this website cannot be started. another website may be using the same port

Default ssl port is 443. Please help me. How can I add this subdomain and more of them without running into this problem?

Hello vituxa,
You can host many many websites on one IIS Server and all of them can use ports 80 and 443. But in order to do this, you need to specify a host header for each domain.

Do this:
1. In IIS, right-click on the first domain and select 'Edit Bindings'
2. Click Edit
3. Enter the full domain name under 'Host Name' and click OK
4. Click OK again

Every domain must have this Host Name information entered.
Restart IIS and test.

But just as soon as I select the type https in the bindings then the host textbox is grayed out and disabled
Edit the properties of your SSL certificate and enter your domain name. Then go back to the Binding screen and you will be able to edit it.
