Can coexist AD 2012 and Exchange2010?

It's any problem to install the WinSrvStd 2012 AD and Exchange on the same server (hardware)? Can they coexist both or do I have to buy an exclusive server for AD (Active Directory) and other one for the Exchange?

I intend to migrate 55 users from a SBS 2003 to WinSrvStd 2012 + ExchgSrvStd2010 but I not have a good budget to buy multiple servers at the moment.

Some friend told me that it's imposible to install WinSrvStd 2012 AD and Exchange on the same server. It's true? ..What can you suggest me?

You can install the AD and exchange server on the same server, but it is not recommended.

Exchange 2010 SP2 is not supported on Windows Server 2012 (see list of supported operating systems in Exchange 2010 System Requirements). We’re working on updates to add Windows Server 2012 support to Exchange 2010 and will announce on this blog when we have more to share.
