Formating the Person or Group column in Sharepoint

When creating a new Person or Group column there is an option to select how the value will be shown. In my case I need to show both name and title of the employee. Is there an easy way to do it (preferable no-code or simple SPD code). It can be one column or two columns. I want to avoid the need to select the name and then the title separately.

Hello,

you can only select one property to show for a person field in SharePoint. That property will actually be written to the record and a reference to other properties of the person cannot easily be shown.

If you run SharePoint Server (not the free Foundation), you could use InfoPath to customize the form and within InfoPath use rules and lookups into the user profile data (if the User Profile Service is present) to populate a text column with the desired value.

This can be done without code, but the steps to take in InfoPath may be a bit challenging for a new user.

cheers, teylyn

ASKER

I do have the SharePoint server. Do you know about any instructions online that could help me doing it in InfoPath?
