Servers and battery backups

I have a question maybe someone here can answer.  Just about all my servers have redundant power supplies, my question is ; should both power supplies be plugged into Battery Backups or should one go directly to the wall and one go to a battery backup? It seems to me that you would make better use of your battery backup capacity by plugging in only one power supply to the battery backup. When the power goes off the servers still have the power from the power supply attached to the UPS. Thanks in advance for your help.

I am convinced now it is the right thing to have both PSUes plugged in to the UPS. Thank you all for your responses. I believe each one of you had a valid reason to configure it that way.

Thanks again,
Jim
