Find SQL Server backup

Good day everyone. In our environment we have an SQL Server running 2005 in emulation mode from 2000. Well, we went through and reconfigured all backups to now run from Backup Exec instead of using the built in backup features as well as other third party tools. We wanted consistency.

Well, every Saturday after we did the reconfiguration we notice that a backup runs which is unknown to us and is causing havoc (won't allow us to run differentials and logs backup after it runs because it takes ownership).

We have searched many different places but can't figure out where this backup job is stored or where it is coming from. Is there a way to find this out?

You can also search the whole drive in Windows, specifying a recent time period - the last hour, for example - for the modified-on time. Start that one each drive and let Windows do the work for you.

Well, I took a look at the SQL Server jobs once again and you were correct, I had missed a backup job and that was the one I was looking for. Dumb mistake. Too many days looking at this...it all blended in together.

Thank you all!
Well done on finding it - many people just won't check themselves!
