Exchange 2010 Address Book Service will not start

I have a server with Exchange 2010 SP2 installed.  I am having issues with all Outlook clients accessing the address book.  This appears to be a problem with the Microsoft Exchange Address Book service not starting.

I have tried to start this service and change the port but nothing is working.

When I start this service I get a message stating that some services only start when the service is needed.

In the event log I get a 1008 Event ID:
Unable to register the MSExchangeAB RPC interface.  Failed with the error code The endpoint is a duplicate (1740).

I know this is a conflict with something else running but I am at a loss at this point and need assistance.

Any thoughts?

Yes, both look quite familiar.  The first article seems a little outdated since SP2 has been installed.  I don't know that the second article pertains since I'm not dealing with SBS.

I just can't find anything that is making any changes for me.  Very frustrating!

I understand it's not SP2.  I only meant that the way to update the port was outdated.

This box is not a DC.  It's a stand alone Exchange server.

I actually do see this Sentinel Protection Manager Service.  I didn't attach to that before.  Now this is interesting.  Any idea what that is?

I think this might be related to another vendor who installed some software on this server now that you brought that to my attention.  I will contact that vendor tomorrow unless you have any other suggestions.
