ASKER

then I am ever more confuse, so cloud is a set of "SERVICE" that can run on a server or groups of servers in the internet ( public cloud therefore).

If we do it internallly ourselves and only our people can access the service, this is privary cloud !

any books/url to read?

Someone keep challenging and he keep saying VM is different than cloud , of course I know.

from my point of view, like hotmail, is a cloud service for a long long time as we use that service that host in somewherea and data store in it.

VM just a layer let us SHARE resource on the same hardware and we can move the service easliy !

mo_patel,

"Users have to pay a monthly bill for public cloud services, but in private cloud money is charged on the basis of per Gb usage along with bandwidth transfer fees."

why the charging model related to the defination of cloud? Any service is doing this for private cloud ?

"Public cloud functions on the prime principle of storage demand scalability, which means it requires no hardware device. On the contrary, no hardware is required even in private cloud,"

Can't see why hardware device is need or not related to the cloud.

sirplus,

cloud seems mostly for sharing ? Virtualisation is not for sharing, right?
I still don't get the full picture of it but thansk for everyone's sharing.
