Joining a MAC to a Wintel Domain

I've been asked to come up with a viable solution for adding a Mac to a wintel domain.

I've put a few things together that I wanted to share and see if anyone has anything to add.

The one thing that I've read that seems like the status quo is that a Mac on a windows domain is not a reliable or pain free solution without a third party solution.

Please feel free to add to the list.

Thanks

Adding a Mac to a Microsoft Windows domain:

Pros:
•      Single Sign-On
•      Policy Enforcement
•      Newer versions of OSX are less problematic
•      Logon scripts
•      Shared file system

Cons:
•      Difficult to manage
•      New releases of Mac OSX can break AD bindings
•      Older versions of OSX are more problematic
•      Loses connectivity to the domain intermittently
•      Truly functional solutions cost money

Apps:
•      Munki
•      Entourage – outlook client for Mac
•      ADmitMac v7
•      Thursby Software
•      Centrify
•      Mountain Lion Server
•      Workgroup Manager 10.8

Terms:
•      Keychain

Links:
•      SpiceWorks
•      Michael Kuron's Blog
•      Serverfault
•      Great Resource
•      MacWindows
•      Macworld
•      Macwindows AD

Most were shared experiences not solutions.  I think what I documented was the most extensive as there were not many responses to what I was trying to do.
