Help with an Access "expression" - simple calculation

I'm making a text box in a subreport. I simply want the Order Amount minus the Shipping Cost (i.e. to get the cost before shipping).

See screen shot. Am I doing this right? Because the expression simply shows an error when I generate the reports.

Both orderAmount and oshipcost need to be fields that are part of the Recordsource of your report.

Bare with me, as I am a beginner.

OK. Which are the fields that are part of the "record source" in the above illustration.?

Wouldn't that be the middle column which has the fields shipname, oshipcompany etc.?

Or is it the last column, that starts with orderamount, orderID, etc.?

Both orderAmount and oshipcost are in the last column. However, only orderamount appears in the middle column.

That was the ticket. Thank you very much. Man, that was so simple. Here I've been killing myself with research. Doh! :D
