How to erase Gmail search history

We have a customer that wishes to delete all information from an account that has been accessed. We have managed to perform most of this but the one exception is that the gmail search history is still retrievable. How do we permanently delete all of the history for searches made?We have tried to delete the web and search history for the google account, but no matter what we try, the Gmail search history remains.
Thanks

to get rid of your search history in gmail

For Internet explorer:  Tools > Internet Options > settings > view files  (select all) then Delete

THEN
Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files

Thank you for your suggestion, however i don't think you fully understand my question.

The search history i am referring to is not stored locally, but rather on the GMail site and is accessible from all computers regardless if they have been used to access this GMail account before.

Any further insight would be appreciated.

Thank you again for this prompt response.

I had previously found this article on my own and gone through the steps outlined.

This has NO EFFECT AT ALL on the search history for GMAIL.

I have no problem clearing the Google Account search history, but GMail is not changed.

I am interested if anyone has tackled this problem before.
I've seen that You Tube already.

Let me be perfectly clear, I am a network support professional and do not need other people to Google answers for me.

If you have not actually tackled this issue before, please do not respond!
sorry for trying to help
 Mr. Network Support Professional

there is no way to do what you are requesting unless you delete that email.
thanks to a new policy
is that a perfectly clear (non-googled) answer ?
I wouldn't reccormend you  searching through someone elses email either in the future
you should know being a
Network Support Professional
that there are several wys to determine that someone has searched through their email beyond search history and network support
I'm still not sure why you are responding, you still haven't provided a useful answer and I would encourage you to go back to the shallow water where you can stand.
have you tried changing the gmail account password to prevent other computers from logging in ?
perhaps this is a clear answer you can use

Why is the response so long? Is that you sinking in the deep water?

If you are dead-set on your response that this isn't possible then please link to this "policy" that you referenced earlier. I might even consider awarding you points...

Then again you may have drowned by then.
here is an article referencing the "policy"

I've requested that this question be deleted for the following reason:

There has been no further viable solutions and the customer simply created a new google profile
The solution to the question was the answers

ID: 38577733
ID: 38577783

the user clearly did not "like" the answer to the question. nor had any respect/courtesy for those that volunteered there time to help.

regardless Points should be awarded
