External Hard Drive Stopped Working

Hi there,

A few days ago I noticed 1 of the external hard drives at work stopped working,
i tried plugging it in another computer but nothing was registering, had a
look in C drive and nothing. Power is on and I've tried using a different power
cable and and a usb cable and that didn't do anything as well.
When plugging in power, you can hear it start up but the only thing I've noticed
that I think was not there before is when plugging in the power cable it
now beeps 12 times  for some reason as well, and than it stops spinning.
Has anyone had this problem before or is there another procedure to
try to find the hard drive on my PC?
The hard drive is a Seagate Barracuda 1TB.

Thanks.

Sorry for the late response, I took the hard drive apart and tried to connect it to
one of the PC'S we have at work and all it did was spin at the start, made a load
beeping sound, there were 12 separate beeps all up than it stopped
spinning than nothing. I had a look in Windows Disk Management and it didn't show
the drive. It sounds like there is a fault with the drive and might need someone
with the right equipment to take the data off if the owners of the company
I work for want to do that.
Can anyone think of anything else I should try?

Thanks for everyone's help so far.
