Keyboard Lock Out On SBS2003 server

I am trying to log into an SBS2003 server on which the Ps2 keyboard socket is dead. This was previously used.

I have connected a USB k/brd and this is located and usable during the boot sequence, unfortunately it is locked out as soon as the Windows splash screen appears.

So I can get to a normal CTRL+Alt+Delete logon and boot in safe mode to the same point ...but I cant use the k/brd to get any further.

I have verified that the k/brd will work by booting from cd using Active Boot Disk.  As I understand it I need to delete the old k/brd driver and SBS look/re-install it during boot up.

Does anyone know how this can be done behind the scenes (not using device manager because I cant get there) by editing some system file?

Can you remote desktop into the server once its booted up?   Then log in with the Admin account and make whatever changes you need..   Have you checked BIOS settings to insure that USB Legacy Support is enabled?
