a google search result question.

Hi there;

For a search term, google produces the results. Sometimes that term may have millions of result.

Now, can i go to a pecific search result number or page? Not the first results, but a result, let's say 42455.

Regards.

>>In reality Google only provides 79 pages or 790 links to review.
wow, really, not even 791 but 790.

>>It's just telling you that there are collectively 11 billion mentions of what & up & google on the net.

So i cannot go to the 10.999.999.999? How can google come with 11billion information and don't let me go to the last one?

Regards.

Do a search for something then copy the URL from the address bar of the browser in the results page and paste it into a text editor to see all the parameters that were applied according to your saved search settings, geographic location, etc, etc.  They are comprehensively explained here:

http://www.rankpanel.com/blog/google-search-parameters/

Look at the   start=xx   parameter, shown as   start=30   on that page.

More here:

@PhoenixUnlimited:

Then what google is doing that is estimating the number and make the first 790 results reachable. Right?

I didn't know that badger baiting was such a big problem.  At least outside of EE.
I knew you would see the significance of that search term Dave :-)
Thanks, great insights!
Thank you jazzIIIlove
