last row is 1a^4 + 4a^3*b^1 + 6a^2*b^2 + 4a*b^3 + 1b^4, why is the last row this?

for the last row
1 = 1 + (0)
4 = 3 +1
6 = 3 + 3
4 = 3 + 1
1 = 1 + 0

where you use the 2 numbers directly linked on the previous row to build the new one
