Exchange 2007/2010 messages not recieved

Hello,

We've got an Exchange 2007 environment coexisting with an Exchange 2010 server.
All roles are one 1 server.

Incoming SMTP traffic is deliverd at the 2007 Server. Mailboxes which reside on that server are receiving the messages. But mailboxes already moved to the 2010 server are not getting the messages. External or Internal mail is not received for those mailboxes. Sending from any mailbox to any internet or external address is no problem.

What can be the problem around here?

Can the normal Exchaneg 2007 user send an email to Exchange 2010 user ?
Can the Exchange 2010 user send an email to himself ?

Is the Exchange 2010 installed with all 3 default roles ?
Is the exchange services running on the Exchange 2010 server ?

Did you enable "Anonymous Users" on the Receive connector and restart Transport service ?

Sending from exchange 2007 to 2010 does not work.
Mailing the 2010 users himselfs works.

All default 2010 roles are intalled on one server, and services are running.
Did you enable "Anonymous Users" on the Receive connector and restart Transport service ?

What options are enabled on Receive connector on Exchange 2010 HUB ?
Can a Exchange 2010 user send email to Exchaneg 2007 user ?

- Rancy
Where does the email get lost between 2007 and 2010? What does message tracking state?

Regards,
Exchange_Geek
i added anonymous users to the exchange 2010 hub properties (also checked exchange users, exchange servers and legacy exchange servers).
I can send a message from the 2010 to the 2007 users, but not the other way around.
@rbijl can you track these messages on 2007?

Regards,
Exchange_Geek
i tracked them, but at the result i cant see the message going to the 2010 server
I would say check the settings on the Exchange 2007 receive connector and do the same on Exhcnage 2010 and then restart the transport service ..... also do you have any SMarthost in the Send connector of Exchange 2007 ?

- Rancy
The settings are the same already. Smarthost is not configured, routing is being done by dns.
I am able to send message from 2010 to external environment so this works perfect. Just not recieving any mail on the 2010 user.
@rbijl: Sir, if you can provide details then we can help you. Can you post the tracking logs here?

Regards,
Exchange_Geek
Can you run a test-ServiceHealth on Exchange 2010

Also run EXBPA from Exchange 2010 tollbox for itself and check what issues are reported

- Rancy
EXBPA:
Health Check > Just a error for the maximum message size of 50MB
Connectivity Test > No errors or warnings
Permissions > No errors or warnings

test-servicehealth did not give me any errors too
To me this mailbox is residing on E2007, that's what the server thinks

Receive StoreDriver and Submit StoreDriver is reflecting that the server isn't even trying to send email to E2010

Run the cmdlet

Get-mailbox "email receipient" | FL

Regards,
Exchange_Geek
Can you try creating a new user on Exchange 2010 and then try from Exchange 2007 to send an email to that user ?

- Rancy
Ran the command 'get-mailbox test', it says the servernaam is the 2010 server. Creating new user on 2010 now
Still got the same issue. New user on 2010 can send to 2007 but not recieve the answer.
rbijl: Could you run the following cmdlet?

Get-ReceiveConnector | FL (output of both E2007 and 2010 boxes)
Get-SendConnector | FL (output of both E2007 and 2010 boxes)
Get-mailbox | FL (output of the sender and recipient)

Regards,
Exchange_Geek
Is there some Email scanning software or some firewall between the servers ?

- Rancy
As you requested
2007.zip
2010.zip
The format of CSV is quiet difficult to understand ... if you could run with something like

Get-Transportconfig | FL > Transportconfig.txt (Something on same lines for all and then simply strip the confidential information and then share)

- Rancy
Updated versions
2007-txt.zip
2010-txt.zip
While i am checking the details please try with creating a new Receive connector and restart the Transport service :)

Hope we dont have any EDGE server and only one HUB for exchange 2010 ?

- Rancy
There is no EDGE server in our environment. Where should i create the new receive connector? 2K10?
