How to control SharePoint page title?

I would like to have consistent naming of all of the landing pages on all of my intranet sites. How do I control this? By going to Title Bar Properties I was able to change what is displayed in the breadcrumb but I don't know how to change the text displayed on the browser tab (see screenshot below).

use sharepoint designer: open your site and look in a folder called Master Pages.

these should be at least one file in it .. could be called default.Master

you can copy that file (copy/past) in the same folder and edit the file to make it the way you want. .. then save it and right click and select "set as defalt master page"

this so that if you screwup the orignal master page you can always go back :)

let me know if you need any help.

I thought that modifying the master page will affect all of the pages where it is applied... I need to modify the single landing page (home) in each site.

This is for publishing Sites
@jimes82

It is not a publishing site but this is what I see when I go there:

I see the Title is empty on a view form but it is not present on an edit form after I click the Edit Item button. Is there any way to get to it without enabling the publishing features?
is this a SharePoint foundation on premise install or is it cloud hosted?
