Unable to connect to SQL Server 2008r2 over the network.

A new installation of a named instance of SQL Server 2008r2 on Server 2008r2, all the defaults in place.

Remote connections allowed.
TCP/IP enabled.
SQL Browser running.
Locally accessible (can create an ODBC connection on the SQL Server machine itself).

What else can I check?

Thanks.

I turned off the firewall on both machines, the sql server and the client machine.  Still get a sql server doesn't exist or no access message.
You enabled remote access for your sql?

I was wrong.  I found a firewall and turned if off.  Now I'm connected.  Thanks.
