Dropbox sync to NAS,

Hi,

I have Dropbox, I have a NAS. Now I would like to sync the content of my drobox to my nas (since Dropbox doesn't support NAS).
Any of you have good/bad experience with it (corruptions or other) and how did you achieve it?

I have been using  portable dropbox on my CF card and there is no issues

unless you have massive sharing your NAS with other people, then you might have some issues (that I do not know or encounter) but it is your own choice.
I think you mean running dropbox on a desktop/laptop computer, but using a shared drive on the NAS as the storage area ?

it should work with no problems, unless it is a laptop that you also use away from the NAS, in which case I would suggest using dropbox only on the local computer and using something else to replicate to the NAS

You cannot put the dropboxfolder on a nas, it doesn t allow and is not supported. Was looking for the best way/tool to sync.
oh, of course, dropbox specifically won't work on a share.

If your NAS supports rsync, I would run it locally and use rsync to copy it to the NAS, this could also be done over SSH across the internet...

robocopy would be a good alternative as long the computer and the NAS are on the same LAN.

if you need bidirectional sync, then look at Unison
Biderectional via robocopy, what command to use. I should have posted this question, that s what I want. Should have posted this question but was curious about responses to other question.
Only worry bout corruptions, wondered if someb. had experience with this config.

Yes, I am. Is that related to running it on a NAS? I don't mean the application, I mean the dropbox-folder itself of course.
I just read the manual for unison and it needs to be installed on every machine that is syncing - you cannot install a program on a NAS...

How did you do it?
I did not.
Depends on what OS the NAS runs...
