Server showing wrong Drive Space

Hi

Reinstalling an HP DL360 G6 Server with windows 2008 R2, noticed that after install is finished, the Drive shows only 1.54GB free.
Server Array have been re-configured and all drive have been initialized. No Faulty drive showing on Array Configuration Utility, and also when creating the primary partition, the drive shows the whole space.

The Server has 2 x 146GB 10K SAS Drives.

Not sure what could be causing this..

Get a trial copy of TreeSize (Jam Software) and install it on the server. Run it and see where the space has gone. It may have allocated too much Shadow Storage.

Based on TreeSize, Windows is showing the correct space/usage/free (certainly within a good approximation).

I do not understand why TreeSize is not showing a plus sign beside Files.

1. Is TreeSize trial or purchased?  I don't know if there is a limitation on the trial version.
2. What is Files?

It is Files that you need to explore, but perhaps you could shed some light on what it is.

Also try Total Commander as it will show all hidden files.

I think you are right... It actually has a page file of 131GB, but I think it probably has to do with the fact the server has a total RAM ammount of 128GB? I modified the settings for the Page File and the server now wont boot to windows failing with an NTLDR error..
Can it boot in SAFE mode?  I wonder if you have run right out space (other usage tends to increase slightly).

Do you recall what it was like before?  Presumably it had 128Gb of ram before reinstalling.

You may need to remove some memory (half of it), re-install Windows, and then figure out the ram configuration for the disk you have.

If you must re-install again, you really need bigger disks and now would be the time to do it.

What did you change the page file size to?
Can you boot the system into safe mode or it goes into NTLDR error after the bios bootup?

You should boot the system using the OS disk, and get into the repair console.
Try repairing the boot, MBR and delete the old pagefile.sys.

Yeah. I reinstalled and created a custom size Page File with a Maximun of 10GB. It works now.

Giving you guys the points, thanks a lot.

I will remove the RAM to 32GB and then reinstall windows.  After that I will Upgrade the RAM
There is no need to reinstall the OS because ram is removed or added.
