What maximum size processor will work in a laptop motherboard?

A friend of mine wants to know if he can replace the processor in his laptop for a faster one. He would like to replace it with the fastest one he can get in this motherboard
The Brand of the laptop is an Acer and the model & Serial number has been rubbed off.
The model of the motherboard is MBPGY02001
The socket type is  a socket S1
The speed is 1.6MHz
Attached is a picture of the motherboard's specs

AMD Turion 64 x2 (CPU part number TMDTL60HAX5DC)
But you'll need to upgrade the BIOS to 1.09 or better first.
You need to look up the Acer site for exact information. Perhaps contact Support about the model number being rubbed off and see if they can help.

Also run msinfo32.exe as it should report the model number. It does on my computers.

There is usually a narrow range of processor upgrades for laptops. I have done it once on a Thinkpad T series laptop and the results were so-so. Memory and a faster hard drive help a laptop more.
