SQL Server 2012 data recovery

I use SQL Server 2012 for my web application which is on a Hyper-V 2012 virtual machine.
I am going to back up the VM every night to a remote location.
How can I mirror the intraday changes from my SQL database to the remote location that has SQL 2012 as close to real-time as possible?

I want to be able to restore my data from the VM and SQL intraday changes in case my hardware fails as fast as possible.

What do you recommend?

You need to run SQL Server Backups, which will only backup to the VM. A regular period of backup activity will be needed - say Full backup every 4 hours and then backup the transaction log every hour (or lesser period if you prefer). Then use Powershell or Robocopy - or similar to copy the backups to the remote loaction at the end of each backup. You can even configure it to remove older backups keeping only the ones needed.

Agreed with above as the best way to backup those files, however there are things you can do to minimize the chances of "hardware failure". The vm really should run on a raid (usually 10) either on that pc or over the network on a SAN.
