MAC os Lion 10.7.5 network unavailable.

3  OS X Lion 10.7.5 and 10.7.4   Mac's successfully binds to a Microsoft Active Directory Domain Controller. However every time after rebooting, I keep receiving "Network accounts are unavailable" with a red colored color; and after a 30-60 seconds it goes away and users can log on with thier Ad credentials.
tried the following:

I've deleted a DNS ertry pointing to an external Ip address. No success

I've Added  the Search Policy "/Active Directory/DOMAIN" and push it above "/Active Directory/DOMAIN/All Domains" No success.

try rebinding them to the domain, after binding to the domain, when you go back to the directory utility you will notice the Apply button is grayed out. You need to click on the lock to lock the settings. Quit directory utility, and click on the lock for Users and Groups.

While the 30-60 seconds seems a little long, I get that as well on 10.8. When I first fire up my Mac or log in after it's been sleeping, I get the red dot as well for maybe 5-10 second and then I am good. You could also consider creating mobile accounts on the users which they could use to log into the desktop without having to wait. Theoretically once the Mac connects to AD, since the user logged in with good credentials, all should be OK.
