Is it just the font or the Icons look larger too? If so you can change the desktop font and size in Advanced Appearance by using the drop down menu going to icon and then use the second drop-down menu for font and size this will also change the font and size in Windows Explorer and in the Start Menu.
If windows 7:

Control Panel
Display
Choose one of the following.

Smaller - 100%. This keeps text and other items at normal size.

Medium - 125%. This sets text and other items to 125% of normal size.

Larger - 150%. This sets text and other items to 150% of normal size. This option appears only if your monitor supports a resolution of at least 1200 x 900 pixels.
Also in Win 7 use the Set custom Text size (DPI) from "Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display"

If it is in XP Right Click on the desktop>properties>Settings>Advanced, and then set the DPI (Dots Per Inch) to your specific size and need.
