Windows 7 | Vmware workstation 8.x network settings between different wi fi networks

Hi All,
I have windows 7 with VMware workstation installed on my laptop. I have number of VM machines active. I have to often move between my networks like home, office, friends house, public wifi etc.

Somehow I am not able to use internet on my virtualiased  machines neither I am not able to connect client tools on my host to VM machines running. The ip ranges for each network is different. Some of them have 192.168.0.X, 192.168.1.X else10.0.0.X.

I have VMs for a clustered setup so I can't alter IP address for them. If I do, they will stop working unless entire cluster configuration is updated/built.

How do I fix this ?

Many Thanks

Hi,
My internet works on main machine hosting VMs but not within any of VM machines.

Thanks
sorrt, I meant does the vms internet work at any time
Not a this moment. Previously it worked when I was on work network in subnet range 192.168.1.x . But then it was changed to 10.0.0.X range and everything stopped.

It never worked for any other networks either.

Thanks
Are your VM IP Addresses static or dynamic?
Static
Your VM, like your pc, needs a valid IP address for the network you are on so the 10.0.0.x vm will not work on a 192.168.x.x network.
Hi,
I got that earlier and I need to know how to fix it.

Thanks

Hi,
I have mentioned earlier that I have a cluster setup within Vm machines which means i a not able to change  IP of visualized machines.

How do I fix this by adding a new network adapter at main machine?

Thanks
Depending on your VM Host, usually you can power off the VM, in the host go into that machines properties and add a new network device then power back on so that windows can install the new NIC.
