how can i automatically block twitter followers that use profanity

how can i automatically block twitter followers that use profanity?

Up until now, I am using the Mac Twitter app and doing a search on (on my timeline) a variety of colorful metaphors once a week or so, and blocking them manually.

Is there an easier way?

You can try using some of Twitter's own applications like TwitBlock
read about it here

Hello and thank you.

I read the entire article that you mention, but it is just not what I am looking for. I do not have a problem with spammers. I already have a service set up for dealing with that. The people that are posting profanity are not spammers. They just have a dirty vocabulary. They are indeed few and far between. However, as we are a Christian organization, we do not wish to be following these ones.None of the 23 services mentioned in the article had any way of filtering these ones out. There were services listed that you could follow twitter accounts based on keywords, but I did not see any that would let you UNFOLLOW AND BLOCK Twitter accounts based on keywords. Unless I am mistaken? Please let me know. Thanks
You can set the words you are looking for in several of those as far as I understand in order to UNFOLLOW and BLOCK these users...I will look into it a bit more for you and get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks. I'm checking those two out and signed up for account. Again, it seems that you can find "new users" based on searching their tweets. However, I'm not seeing an option to BLOCK current followers based on their tweets.

I have submitted support requests to both companies to ask if there is something that I am missing.
Ok, but they claim to be able to let you block people based on several aspects of a twitter users tweets...so keywords should be included.  Hope this has helped you even a bit...sorry I could not come up with something better.
Okay, thank you very much for your assistance. You've given me a start, and I will take it from here.

Really, I didn't think this was going to be something that was so uncommon. There are so many tweet users With very objectionable and R-rated comments. You would think that Twitter it self would have a filter for such
