Slow VPN service on Microsoft L2TP VPN client behind ASA 5505 or Zyxel USG50

Hi Experts,

All is in the title, I tried a L2TP VPN service on a Windows host behind an USG50 and an also behind an ASA 5505 (not at the same time of course) and the result is an extremely slow connection (about 50 KB/s instead of 1.5 MB/s), even when I allow all the traffic from any to any...
How can I fix my problem if it is possible ? Is this a L2TP limitation ?
Do I have to go for a SSTP connection instead ?

Thank you very much for your help !

PS : I would prefer a Cisco ASA solution if possible. ;-)

What were you using to test the speed?  (Microsoft CIFS file sharing is notoriously latency-bound; any kind of latency will kill your throughput, even on the fastest connection.)

ASKER

I used speedtest.net to test my connexion.
Doesn't that just test Internet access?
Yes I think so, but the purpose of this VPN connection is justly the web browsing, or I don't understand what you mean.
