Exchange 2010 certificate

I have a UCC cert installed on an Exchange 2010 server. is the common name on the cert. When I user the Microsoft remote connectivity analyzer, if I specify the mail server as, it works fine. But, if I don't specify the server name, it fails with a SSL validation check for is not on the cert.
