Image editing on Joomla articles

I am trying to scale down the images which i have decreased in size using the resolution size function (y x y) to shrink them down. It works fine but however the image therefore looks grainy. Is there another way to reduce the the sizes of the images without making them look grainy?? please see http://a1telecoms.co.za/clients.html

Hi,

You can use these plugin
PHP Image Editor Lite Joomla
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-a-images/images/image-management/6989

Media Photo PRO
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-a-images/images/image-management/21511

or if you already use TinyMCE there is one plugin for Image manager  MCImageManager

ASKER

Whenever i try to upload it on my website - it gives me this message: JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

What does this mean?
Hi,

Maybe you need to unzip the package before installing (several zips file in a zip).
Unzip the package if several zip in the package now you should be able to install them.

Maybe your hosting server doesn't having the zip extension installed.
Unzip the package and upload the unzipped directory to your hosting server via FTP.
Then logging into Joomla and try to install it using the option to install it from a directory on the server.

Maybe the file is corrupted, try downloading again.
Great - it worked after i had unzipped it but i cannot find what i have installed on my editor - namely:

PHP Image Editor Lite Joomla
Media Photo PRO

&

 MCImageManager

Where do i find them?
Please respond soonest......Thanks

Will i see this on my admin server side or admin joomla side??
Joomla admin side
Mcimage manager will appear also in frontend text editor for logged users that have the rights to edit articles.
I cant see anything........can you perhaps give me steps on where to find this on the joomla side
Tinymce text editor is under component menu
(check the plugins settings to enable this plugin)

Plugins are under extensions / plugins manager

For  plugins  media photo and PHP image editor you need to enable them (one at the time) I think you cannot use both on the same time test them one by one click on media manager button menu.

Take the time to read each documentation provided with each plugins.

You can also read official Joomla documentation
