Move hole VM farm to other ESXi Host without Shared Storage

We currently have 2 ESXi hosts that both need to be decommissioned.
One host has all of our servers including vCenter, other is our VDI server.

We are going to be merging all of these machines into 1 ESXi host. All servers will be fine to move through vCenter bar that particular VM itself.

The storage we use is all local and no shared storage, so my question is:

How do I move a VM (vCenter) from a local datastore on ESXi1 to the new local datastore on ESXi2

Thanks in advance.

without shared storage, I think the only way is to export it and then import it, or create a temporary shared between the servers, relocate the VMs to it and do transitioning.

Perfect! Thanks
I believe that hanccocka's article os for CLONING a VM on the same host/datastore.

I would go for creating an ISCSI target with lots of drive space and attaching BOTH hosts to it. You can now move the VM's from one host to the other VIA the ISCSI datastore.

Another way to do this is to use vmware converter, this way you can point to the OS (live) or you can point to the VM on the ESXi host (cold)
