New laptop will not stay connected to wireless router

I just purchased new dell laptops with system 7. For some reason they will not stay connected to my dlink wireless router. All my other devices connect just fine. The new laptops will connect and immediately drop and then continues this cycle. Please help

if you are using any client to connect to wireless try to disable it and use windows zero configuration and see if it stays connected.

let me know how if goes. but from my experience its mostly the client that causes this issues.
There may be a problem with your wireless card and may be faulty.  Try connecting to a public wireless hotspot and see if you see the same issues.  If you do then it's your wireless card....

I will try what you said about using zero configuration

I am able to connect to my wireless at home with no problem. This is not just with one laptop it is with two of the seven so far. I have not tried the other five.
I would also check to make sure there isn't an updated driver available for the laptops.  An outdated driver could cause connection issues.
also check with the compatibility with the make of the wireless card agsinst the router that you are trying to connect.

How do I check the compatibility?

are you trying to connect wirelessly using battery power? To conserve battery power the wireless connection may be set to turn off to conserve battery power. Check the setting you may need to uncheck the box saying to turn off wireless to conserve battery power.
can you please tell me whats your router make and model along with the firmware version. also send me the make and model # of your wireless card along with the driver version you using.

thanks

The laptop is a Dell XPS L511Z, the card is a Intel Centrino Advanced N-6230 and the latest version and the router is a d-link DIR-615 and the firmware is 5.00NA and it is uptodate.
