Symantec Backup Exec 12.5

Hello,

I need to add a new D2D backup device into my backup application, Backup Exec 12.5.
I configured D2D share, but when i try to create new backup-up-to-disk folder the network path is not found,  I guess it is a problem of drivers. How can I add D2D drivers into Backup Exec 12.5.?
Or if somebody has another idea or some documentation?

Thanks,

What kind of a D2D device is it ? Backup Exec does not need any drivers for the B2D folder. Did you try by IP address ?
When trying to set up a Backup to Disk folder on a Network Attached Storage device, the error message: "The system can not find the path specified" is returned.

Also ensure you can access the network share from the Backup Exec server and the BESA (Backup Exec Service Account ) has sufficient priviliges to access the share.

Hello iamthecreator,

Thanks for your answer,
The device is D2D2504, is not a problem of user privileges, is a problem of accessing the d2d share. i can ping the device, but i can not access the share \\d2dXXXX\sharexxxx.
I receive the same error, "the network name cannot be found".
Do you have another idea?

Thanks,
Did you try by ip ? try editing the host file for the share
I've tried, the same.
I can ping ip and name of D2D, i registered device into DNS server.
I cannot access the D2D share I've made  , so i cannot add it in BEexc  as long as the network path is not found.
What OS is the D2D device running ? is it a linux  ?
yes.
