Exchange 2003 Recipient Policy

I have an issue in a forest with multiple domains.

We have a few recipient policies setup for Exchange 2003. It seems the policy that is setup as "Priority 1" is applying to all new accounts.

We also have 2 more policies that should apply to all accounts created in a different domain.

So it seems the first policy is not set up do just go it the domain it should.

These are the current filter rules:

(&(&(& (mailnickname=*) (| (&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(!(homeMDB=*))(!(msExchHomeServerName=*)))(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=user)(|(homeMDB=*)(msExchHomeServerName=*)))(&(objectCategory=person)(objectClass=contact))(objectCategory=group)(objectCategory=publicFolder)(objectCategory=msExchDynamicDistributionList) ))))

I would like to know if i change it like this would it work for all accounts created in just the specified domain?

(&(objectCategory=domainDNS)(dc=mydomain*))

My guess is that your custom policy isn't created properly

Read the link
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Implementing-Custom-Recipient-Policies.html

Scroll down to the second picture and understand that your recipient policy would require certain filter that it'll identify users in a particular domain

the first picture should show you that your Exchange Server should be correct and Domain Controller needs to point to local DC in that domain.
