How does DDNS work

Setup a security camera, the ISP is comcast without a static IP. Insetad of paying for a static IP I figured I'd use DDNS, the camera from Foscam.com suggests I use www.no-ip.com
I created an account set up DDNS name to IP address. It works fine. Question?
How is this going to resolve my issue when comcast changes my IP. Don't quit understand.

Thanks

DDNS uses the name you give the camera to resolve the IP just like you type google instead of whatever the ip is. So google might be 1.2.3.4 today and 1.2.3.5 tomorrow but you still get google.
