USB & MS-DOS - Multiple input devices

I am running point-of-sale terminals under MS-DOS. I want to connect a keyboard, barcode scanner and credit card reader via USB. The keyboard works fine. he other devices do not. Is there a work-a-round?

In order to use a USB barcode scanner and credit card reader at the DOS level you will need DOS based drivers.  Check with the manufacturer to see if they have any.

USB keyboards work on all my machines under DOS. On one machine (Dell 400sc) I can connect a USB barcode scanner to another USB port and the two work together, no drivers. I want to do this on the other machines, and only the keyboard will work.
Maybe it is a configuration setting in the BIOS?
