USB thumb drive on Window XP

I can't write USB drive on a Window XP but I could read the file. There is not problem with the USB or the user right as it works fine on another workstation.

Any idea why is this happened ? Try another USB ports on this machine but doesn't work.

Thanks

@<Selvol

His USB works fine on the other workstation....that means that there is no write protect switch enabled on this usb drive.

Will there be a local GPO that disable the USB access ? How to check it ?

However, I could read the content but couldn't write on it ....
There is gpo for the usb access. Below is a good mircrosoft article for the same.

Try different port but doesn't help.

Confirm that there is no GPO for USB disable.

Already checked that there is no local registry : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control -> “StorageDevicePolicies”.

Tks, finally fix the policy in our Symantec Endpoint Protection which disable the USB.
