ICAP error while using Chrome
Quite often when I am browsing I get the following error with Chrome:
ICAP Error (icap_error)
An error occurred while performing an ICAP operation: Internal error: 79 An unexpected error occurred.
There could be a network problem, the ICAP service may be misconfigured, or the ICAP server may have reported an error.
But if I try the same link in IE it works fine. This happens especially with Microsoft links. Why is this? How can I avoid this?

icap is a protocol that is used by HTTP proxies to submit queries to another machine. the icap protocol is a poorly documented mess and most vendors use hardly compatible versions.
it is likely that it will work better in chrome is you deactivate pipelining to the proxy, but the only way to know is try. it may slow down your browsing a little
the setting should be accessible by typing about:flags in chrome's address bar. beware there may be different options for regular http pipelining and pipelining to a proxy
obviously, if you know how it is setup, you also can bypass the proxy altogether
