Cisco dhcp scope options change request

Hi All,

Migrating ip phones from one call manager/ tftp server to another using the same subnet.

At the moment dhcp scopes on cisco routers x2 supply the phones with ip addresses and point them to the existing call managers (tftpservers) x2.

I have just installed the new callmanagers x2.

I would like to reduce the time it takes for addresses to expire in order for me to change option 150 and replace the existing call managers (tftpserrvers) x2 with the replacement newly installed once in order to migrate the phones automatically from old call managers to the new...

dhcp settings on the router attached belwo; what do i need to add in terms of config to achieve the above?

============================================
ip cef
no ip dhcp use vrf connected
ip dhcp excluded-address ***ip ***ip
ip dhcp pool voice
   import all
   network network + mask
   default-router defrtip
   dns-server dnssrv1 dnssrv2
   option 150 ip Voiptftpsrv1 voiptftpsrv2
   domain-name ****

Thank you very much for your help in advance!!!

Hi, thanks for the reply and link.

Can I please have the Cisco router config lines I need to add to the already attached dhcp config in order to make sure the lease of the phones ip addresses will be locked down to 1hour max?

Thank you
Sorry,

     Someone else will have to help you with that part, I haven't done IOS code in a number of years.  But here is my link if it helps --

Thank you all. much appreciated!!!

The reason why I want to change the lease to 1h is because the IP Phones need to be upgraded from 8.2.2 to 8.3.3 and then to 9.3.1, which will require a reboot (maybe twice at least).

As kevinhsieh said above - will a change in the tftp server the phones (Cisco 7941) are pointing to (achieved through the dhcp option 150 change as per above comments) result in the phones automatically initiating the upgrade from the new call manager server? ... or do I have to manually restart these via the poe switch or the phone itself?

Thank you
