Unable to start IIS Express process cannot access file
I have a ISA TMG server alongside is GFI web mon 2012 application . We have been running older version of the software but recently we upgraded to 2012 which requires iisexpress

When installing gfi i installed iis express as a prerequisite. but when I navigate to program files\iisexpress and execute iisexpress.exe i receive the error on the screen shot.

I do have other sites running on here..can you please aid with the error message?

I can provide other details if needed.

In case the screenshot is not legible, below is the text output from the screenie:

starting iis express...failed to call httpdaddurl with http://locahost:8080
failed to register url "http://localhost:8080/" for site "website1" aplication "/". Error description: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (0x80070020)

registration completed for site "webwite1"
failed to process sites
report listenerchannel stopped due to failure; protocolId:http, listernerchanelId:0
hostablewebcore activation failed

unable to start iisexpress

The process cannot acces the file ecause it isbeing used by another process. for more information about the error, run iisexpress.exe with the tracing switch enabled (/trace:error).

I just checked iis. I don't see any sites using 8080 but the proxy is configured.

Before some modifications I made to the application directory (yes, this was a different screenshot which I erased, sorry) - wspsrv.exe- was populating on the error message as the process in use. Which is the  ISA firewall service.

I am confused..

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
