One way of monitoring packet loss would be to sniff on sending and receiving hosts and then compare the amount of packet on both sides.<br />

Example: If you are looking at A-&gt;B then you'll see packets leaving A and possibly arriving on B. Then if you look at B &lt;--A you will see no packets coming in.<br />
