Magic Quotes is usually the problem when you find backslashes in your data base.  Please read this article and post back with any questions.  It explains what happened and what you can do about it.

Are you seriously going to tell me that with the article link in front of you it took you almost three months to get around to fixing the problem?  And that the article was not of any use?

It's considered good form to award some points when an EE colleague tries to help you with a problem.  I'll post an objection to closing this so you can explain what's going on here.

Thanks and regards, ~Ray
